Sound Design and Sound Effects

We are field recording specialists and can capture six simultaneous audio tracks with portable recording gear. We have a good mic locker of stereo and shotgun microphones and blimps for field recording. Djembe Studios does audio post production to make the most of the captured sounds. Our Sound Design and Special Effects projects are used in the game industry, television for tv shows and commercials, and the movie industry in indie films. Field Gear Our field recording gear consists of: Field Microphones: Sennheiser MKH 416 shotgun mic in a Rode blimp, Rode NT4 stereo mic in a Rode blimp, Audio Technica 822 Stereo mic in a Mic Muff windscreen. Studio mics are occassionally used in the field. Field Recorders: Tascam DR-680 six track recorder in a Porta Brace case, Zoom H2 with a Rycote wind screen and a small Tascam DR-07. Studio Gear Our primary studio recording gear consists of: Studio Microphones: AKG C214 condensor and shock mount, Electro Voice RE20 and shock mount, Sennheiser e906, Shure SM7B, KSM27 condensor and shock mount, SM57 (2), Beta SM57A, SM58. Audio Interface and Preamps: MOTU UltraLite-mk3 Hybrid 10/14 audio interface, Avalon VT-737sp (tube based), Universal Audio LA-610 (tube based), Solid State Logic (SSL) XLogic Alpha Channel. Plus some stereo compressor and musical instruments used in our project studio.
